Fiesta Parade - It's a Country Faire!

We had just about every horse we own in the parade this year. Only the baby and Snapper stayed home. There were about 15 horses and even more kids.
Two of our horses had to go double in the parade and there were still more kids on the ground to throw candy and help lead horses.

Our morning started early since we were so late last year and we had so many horses participating. Bless the parents and children that were there before 7:00 a.m.
Also, thanks to Angel for taking Dakota early so he could join his group of 20+ dogs.

The horses were decorated in glitter and ribbons, all with the red-white-and-blue theme in mind. They even wore their garlands from Poe's Retirement.

All of the horses were exceptionally behaved. We had many first-time parade horses and even a few unbroke horses being led by brave young girls. Maybe Callaia could do it next year?!

Thanks to mom, O'Hara for not only getting Honni to the barn on time but also for coordinating the parade order and placing the horses safely away from the musical band!
We can't wait for next year, which will be our fourth year participating in one of Hidden Hills' oldest traditions.
