Dress Rehearsal Pony Club for Poe's Presentation!

The girls beat-the-heat on Saturday and participated in the first dress rehearsal for Poe's Presentaion. Ironically, Poe was hurt from getting kicked and so she had to sit out of the fun.
The rest of the girls had a great time - our line of 9 riders was impressive and everyone was happy with their garlands. All of the horses got a bath and even the people played in the hose!
Our friend Pat came out to watch and she and O'Hara joined us at Island's for Iced Tea & lunch!

Poe looked beautiful in her rainbow garland and we are all excited about May 24th!

Bella's Baby - She's Five Days Old!

Bella's baby enjoyed her first run in the pasture today. She is so sweet but also very full of herself.
She is already sampling hay & grain, loves the salt lick and enjoys naps with the girls. We are so lucky to have her in our barn and our lives!

Trip to Hansen Dam

We spent all day at beautiful Hansen Dam. Ashley, Brooke, Hannah, Kristin (& a friend, Macki) joined me, Debbie, Glen, the dogs Kota & Molly. The horses were Gracie, Dessa and Festivity.

We enjoyed nice strolls, hikes, and the horses enjoyed swimming and galloping. There were countless egrets and tadpoles in the streams. It was fun and interesting to see the other horses and riders. We even found an ice cream truck!

After the ride the horses had carrots and we had a yummy meal at the Ranch Side Cafe (our tradition). It was a great day and I can't wait to go back!

Bella's Baby is Born (It's a Girl!)

We are excited to welcome Bella's filly to our barn. She is a palomino & white and VERY friendly! Hannah guessed the gender & color and Heather predicted the date. Both Mama & Baby are doing well. Please feel free to come by and visit! She gets cuter by the minute.

Those ETI Shows are FUN but LONG!

The last ETI show in Thousand Oaks proved to be a great learning experience and a lot of fun, too!
Hannah brought Jade to their second "away" show ever and did fantastic job even though most of her warm-up was in a nearby field!

Tallulah & Tiko and Brooke & Festivity were there to practice their jumping skills and the girls just got better and better with each jump! We were all very proud of their courage and willingness to try something new.

Julia Embulia was a trooper who helped with the show, supported the girls and hung out with Little Dish!
